Codere has finalized the selection of its board members after the gathering of shareholders.

The firm had suggested Christopher Bell as the non-executive leader of the board in January and named him as an independent director. Bell has two decades of experience, having worked at companies such as Hilton Group and Ladbrokes, and held non-executive roles at Rank and Games Group.

Aidan de Bruyne, a former executive leader at Morgan Stanley and partner at Arrowglass Capital, was also named as an independent director, while Antonio Moya-Angler was chosen as a qualified shareholder director. Qualified shareholder directors are chosen by investors who possess at least 20% of the company’s stock.

Moya-Angler worked for over 15 years at private equity giant Advent International as a managing director and served on its Latin American investment committee, working in nations like Mexico, Colombia, Brazil, and France.

Vincent Di Loreto, the chief executive officer of Grupo Codere, will join the board as a company director, a position he has held during the company’s reorganization.

The remaining four members of the board are Lawrence Beaver, Isabelle Lambert, Matthew Kakar, and Sandra Egan, who serve as directors.

The newly appointed board of executives will collaborate with the administrative team at Nueva Codere to accomplish a number of objectives. These include restoring the business to its pre-pandemic performance and concentrating on growth prospects. The organization sees substantial potential in Spain, Mexico, and the online marketplace. They will continue to enhance their omnichannel technological platform and strategy.

“I am confident that Nueva Codere has a promising future,” stated Bell. “The administrative team’s expertise and experience, combined with the abilities of the directors joining me, fills me with optimism about the new stage the company is entering.”

Codere was acquired by creditors in November 2021 as part of a restructuring agreement finalized in April of that same year.
