Mississippi’s sports wagering earnings continued to climb in September. The state’s gaming board reported that the revenue generated from sports betting increased by nearly 18% compared to the same period last year. Sports enthusiasts placed significantly more bets as well, with a surge of almost 38% from the previous year. The commencement of the NFL season in September contributed to the upward trend, mirroring similar patterns observed in other states. Coastal casinos emerged as the top earners from sports betting, surpassing the total state revenue generated in September 2019.
