The home stadium for Stoke City Football Club will be rebranded as ‘bet365 Stadium’ beginning in the upcoming season, the club has announced.

The gaming organization, under the ownership of the Coates family who also hold ownership of Stoke City, have secured a six-year agreement extending through the conclusion of the 2021-22 season. bet365 will also maintain their role as the club’s jersey sponsor for a minimum of the next three seasons.

“The Premier League is undergoing rapid expansion and it’s crucial for Stoke City to maintain progress in order to stay competitive,” remarked Stoke City Chief Executive Tony Scholes.

“We are deeply cognizant of the historical significance and connection with Britannia and want to formally express our gratitude for their backing over the preceding 19 years. Nevertheless, the Britannia brand is no longer in existence and it was imperative that we sought to secure a new stadium naming rights collaborator.”

“The Premier League enjoys a global viewership and bet365 is a truly international enterprise. We are pleased to have finalized a stadium naming rights agreement with them for an initial six-year period, in addition to prolonging their jersey sponsorship arrangement.”

The agreement to have our company’s logo on Stoke City jerseys has definitely increased bet365’s worldwide visibility and been quite advantageous,” stated John Coates, bet365 Co-CEO and Stoke City Vice-Chairman. “We’ve been exploring avenues to expand our athletic sponsorship holdings, and the stadium entitlement rights partnership with Stoke felt like a logical progression, especially considering our established ties to the region.”
