The Betsson Group has formally entered the French sports wagering sector after obtaining authorization. They’ve teamed up with a domestic firm and will employ Sportradar’s platform for their activities.

A crucial figure in this endeavor, Nadir Ounissi, conveyed strong belief in Betsson’s capacity to make an impact in France. He stressed their dedication to introducing something novel, especially for recreational gamblers. Ounissi emphasized the robustness of their local collaborations and the seasoned team they’ve gathered, aiming to position betsson.fr as a significant contender within this regulated market.

It’s noteworthy that France’s gaming landscape is quite sizable. The initial half of 2023 witnessed a 4% expansion, reaching a considerable €5.35 billion (or $5.63 billion) in earnings. While major players like FDJ and PMU currently command the largest portion, there’s undoubtedly space for Betsson to establish its presence.

This growth follows a prosperous quarter for the Betsson Group, with a 27% surge in income, hitting €2.368 billion. They’ve also recently reinforced their relationship with Pragmatic Play, indicating ambitious aspirations for the times ahead.

The prominent online gaming company, Betsson Group, has partnered with Jalla Casino to offer live dealer games to the Swedish market. This collaboration is significant for both entities, enabling Betsson to leverage Jalla’s established foothold in Sweden.

Furthermore, Betsson introduced its primary brand in Denmark through the August 2023 launch of Betsson.dk. This endeavor entailed rebranding their existing Casino.dk platform to align with the well-known Betsson brand.
