Caroline Ackroyd has formally assumed the position of Chief Financial Officer (CFO) at XLMedia, a prominent digital media enterprise. This designation, initially revealed in November 2021, represents a pivotal juncture for both Ackroyd and XLMedia.

Ackroyd possesses a wealth of knowledge, having held significant roles within the financial realm. She succeeds Rowan Ellis, who functioned as interim CFO following the exit of Iain Balchin in July of the preceding year. Ellis will revert to his prior capacity as a financial advisor, guaranteeing a seamless handover for Ackroyd.

In her capacity as CFO, Ackroyd will become a member of the board of directors at XLMedia, collaborating closely with CEO Stuart Simms and other crucial individuals within the organization. This appointment is a testament to Ackroyd’s proficiency and her aptitude for directing financial tactics within the ever-changing domain of digital media.

Ackroyd’s remarkable career path encompasses roles such as CFO for Jaywing, a Sheffield-based media firm, and Push Doctor, a video consultation service. Her period at Sky Betting & Gaming, where she held senior financial positions, will be indispensable as she navigates the intricacies of the digital media environment.

Following a tenure exceeding two years as the Chief Financial Officer at Coral, Caroline Ackroyd is embarking on a new journey. She will assume the role of CFO at XLMedia.

XLMedia’s Chief Executive Officer, Stuart Simms, expressed his delight in welcoming Caroline to the team. He emphasized her extensive background in the online gaming sector, deeming it a significant asset for XLMedia, particularly as they pursue ambitious endeavors within the American sports wagering market.
