Betsson Appoints Triston Smook as New Affiliate Lead Amidst Record-Breaking Quarter
A prominent online gaming company, Betsson, recently revealed that Triston Smook will be their new Affiliate lead. Smook has a challenging task ahead – he’ll be responsible for increasing website visits for more than 20 brands within the Betsson group. He’ll also be the key person for maintaining those crucial connections with associates and other individuals in the affiliate realm.
Now, Smook is no novice in this field. With almost twenty years of experience, he’s a wealth of iGaming expertise. Consider affiliate supervision, commercial expansion, sales, online promotion, you name it – he’s an expert.
Betsson is already commending him, describing him as a “marketing guru” with a worldwide presence. He’s demonstrated his abilities before, effectively broadening Betsson’s global footprint in his prior position as Business Development Manager.
Smook formally assumed his new role on November 14th, and he’ll be working from Betsson’s main office in Malta.
This news follows Betsson’s outstanding third-quarter financial results. They achieved a record-breaking €200.3 million (approximately $199.6 million USD), representing their most prosperous quarter yet.
Their casino revenue experienced a robust 8% increase, but it was sports wagering that truly impressed, soaring by an incredible 45% and boasting a remarkable 8.4% profit margin.
But there’s more! Operating earnings surged by 21% to reach €3.84 million, with a net income of €3.26 million. And get this, operating cash flow hit an impressive €3.85 million. Oh, and they expanded their already substantial customer base by another 7%, which now stands at an astounding 1,056,400 active users.
Pontus Lindwall, the CEO of Betsson AB, succinctly stated: “We observed sustained positive momentum in the third quarter, with substantial expansion and profitability for the entire Group.”
Betsson is experiencing a surge in success, shattering previous revenue and operating income records. This impressive performance is fueled by the flourishing sports wagering and internet casino sectors. Furthermore, the company is strategically expanding its presence in the sports betting arena. Their latest power play involves acquiring an 80% stake in KickerTech, a leading developer of high-quality sports betting platforms. This strategic purchase, valued at €14 million, underscores Betsson’s ambition to become a dominant force in the behind-the-scenes, business-to-business segment of the sports wagering industry.
