Blue-blood Recreation, the Australian gaming behemoth, experienced a profit plunge of nearly half in the fiscal year 2020. This dramatic decrease, which brought earnings down to AU$476.6 million (roughly US$348.8 million), demonstrates the severe consequences of the COVID-19 outbreak on the wagering sector.

Despite a 6% dip in total revenue, their online segment flourished, now representing a considerable 57% of their overall earnings. This underscores a worldwide trend toward internet-based gaming, hastened by the pandemic’s limitations. The Americas persisted as their second-largest market, generating 33% of total revenue.

While their brick-and-mortar operations were significantly hampered by closures and physical distancing protocols, Aristocrat maintained a positive outlook on its prospects. The corporation stressed its solid financial standing, citing ample cash flow, minimal debt, and a strong balance sheet. They express confidence in their favorable position for a robust rebound and sustained expansion over the long haul.
